Yes — the majority of our office moves happen outside standard working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Early-morning starts to beat Congestion Zone charges or building-access windows are common. We build our crew and transport availability around your operational requirements, not the other way around.
How do you handle IT equipment during an office move?
IT equipment is packed in its original packaging where available, or in purpose-appropriate boxes with appropriate cushioning. Monitors are padded and packed vertically. Servers and networking equipment are handled with particular care and moved in crates or specialist containers. We don’t disconnect or reconnect your infrastructure — that’s coordinated with your IT team — but we ensure everything arrives at the correct desk location, clearly labelled and ready for reconnection.
How do you minimise business downtime during a relocation?
Minimising downtime comes down to planning, timing, and the right crew size. We conduct a site visit at both properties, build a detailed move schedule with your office manager, label everything systematically, and work out-of-hours wherever possible. The goal is for your team to arrive Monday morning and be able to start work — not to spend the day finding their equipment.
How far in advance should we plan an office move?
For a small office (under 20 people), 4–6 weeks is usually sufficient. For a mid-size relocation, 6–12 weeks gives us proper time for site surveys, logistics planning, crate delivery, and scheduling around building management at both premises. For larger or more complex moves, earlier is better — the planning is what makes the execution smooth.
Do you provide packing crates for office moves?
Yes. We supply stackable plastic crates rather than cardboard boxes for commercial moves — they’re more secure, easier to stack, and far better for heavy files and documents. Crates are delivered to your office before the move so your team can pack over several days, and collected from the new premises once you’ve unpacked.
Can you move confidential documents and archive files securely?
We handle document and archive boxes with the same care as any other item. If you have confidential materials, we’d recommend your team seal and label them, and we’ll treat them as priority items. For highly sensitive documents requiring chain-of-custody protocols, we can discuss appropriate arrangements as part of the planning process.
